The difference between dry sand and wet sand making

Posted: 2018 10 25 Source: Kefid Shanghai Machinery Views: 667

The difference between the dry sand method and the wet sand method is that different treatment schemes are adopted for the stone powder and the mud content in the mechanism sand.

1. Dry sand production: The dry sand production process is later than the wet sand production process, which is further introduced on the basis of the traditional wet sand production. The dry sand production line consists of hopper, vibrating feeder, belt conveyor, sand making machine, vibrating screen, hoist, classifier, silo group and dust collector.

Compared with wet sand making, in the process of producing mechanism sand, the process of washing out the mud powder in the sand does not require water, so it is called dry sand making line.

2. Wet sand production: In the process of stone processing, due to the intense collision and the stone material itself has a certain soil content, the mechanism sand contains certain stone powder and mud powder. The presence of mud powder will seriously affect the quality of the sand. Although the presence of stone powder can make up for the large gap caused by artificial sand in concrete, the water requirement for concrete is also larger.

In order to solve the problem of the amount of powder in the mechanism sand, sand washing machine is installed in the sand making line, and the mud powder in the sand is removed by the washing of the sand washing machine to reach the standard of the building sand. So it is called wet sand production line.
