The separation efficiency of the powder classifier refers to the ratio of the amount of fine powder passing through the specified aperture screen in the finished product after the powder selection to the amount of fine powder passing through the specified aperture screen in the material entering the powder classifier.

The powder separator spreads the material around by the rotation of the shaft. After the material leaves the spreader, it will fly to the inner shell wall by centrifugal force to form a layer of material umbrella. When the circulating wind moves through the material umbrella screen from bottom to top, the coarse and fine materials are sorted. The degree of dispersion of materials is closely related to the separation effect of coarse and fine materials, and the rotation speed of the material spreader directly affects the degree of dispersion of materials. When the rotation speed is too high and the material throwing speed is too high, it will increase the chance of fine materials colliding with the inner wall and reduce the efficiency of powder selection. Conversely, when the rotating speed of the material spreading plate is too low, the coarse and fine materials are not easy to separate together, and the degree of dispersion of the materials is poor, which will also reduce the efficiency of powder selection.
